Brian Garza

Battalion Chief Brian Garza began his career with Spring Hill Fire Department as a volunteer in June of 2003 and was hired to full-time status in December of that same year. He was promoted through the ranks and became interim Fire Chief in October 2013. He was promoted Battalion Chief in August of 2014.

Charles Estes

Battalion Chief Chuck Estes entered the fire service in December 1999 with Giles County Fire & Rescue. In August 2004, he began his employment with the Spring Hill Fire Department, serving as Firefighter, Engineer, Lieutenant, and Captain. He currently holds the position of Battalion Chief supervising the day-to-day operations of B-Shift.

Chief Estes is a Tennessee State Certified Fire Instructor 1, Fire Officer 2, and Advanced Emergency Medical Technician. He serves as a Reserve Police Officer as an SRT Medic.

Wesley Hickman

Battalion Chief Hickman entered the fire service as a volunteer with Maury County Fire in 1999 after graduating high school and is still active with them. He was hired at Spring Hill in July 2006. He served as an engineer, lieutenant, and captain, and was then promoted to Battalion Chief in November 2021.

Chief Hickman has an associate degree in fire science and is working on completing a bachelor’s degree in fire administration.

Chief Hickman lives in Columbia with his wife, Julie, and has two children.
