Why am I asked so many questions when I call your E-911 Dispatch Center?
Our dispatchers ask questions based on protocols that help determine what type of assistance you may need and determine which first responders need to be sent to assist you. These questions are designed to protect both the citizens and the responders. Our dispatchers utilize a Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system. They enter pertinent information for reference and record. By answering questions concerning medical conditions or suspect information, you provide them with the information needed to get the you the most appropriate response for your need.
